Why is expertise so important?

Expertise is indispensable for planning investment. On the basis of analysis, it is possible to estimate the profitability of different investments. This analysis is a pre requisite for obtaining financing of any investments.

We offer measurement of wind speed by measurement mast using the non-hydrostatic mesoscale model METRAS. 

 
Our expertise deals not only with wind measurement. Consideration of other elements is also necessary when completing a comprehensive analysis of wind conditions in a chosen locale.  

The non- mesoscale model METRAS PC allows site specific and  wind potential assessments. Wind farm layouts and their optimizations are calculated by WindFarmer. WindFarmer is a software product of Garrad Hassan Ltd.

It is necessary to add on to the program following information:

• Data based on estimation of ambient conditions: site planning, afforestation and stand density, obstacles (as a vector map of the lay of the land)
• Long term data for the specific site on the basis of Wind Atlas Poland or data from the nearest situated meteorological stations
• Data from the measurement mast

This will guarantee the identification of those locations where winds are best and where energy production from these winds will therefore be maximised.  

Analysis of the resultant data sets provides knowledge of: 

1. wind speed frequency distribution

2. wind direction distribution

3. time series of: 

    - wind speed
    - wind direction
    - temperature
    - turbulent kinetic energy
    - pressure
    - specific humidity
    - air density, etc.

Our expertise in assessing wind potential allows us to identify  and assess the following:

1. Wind potential at specific sites and the possibility of energy production from the planned Wind Park according to METRAS and Wind Farm programs which incorporate:

      -          realization using the model METRAS 

      -          estimation of the average expected value of energy production from the  planned Wind Park

      -          comparative analyses based on measurement results

2. Updating of documentation concerning Wind Park surroundings during the process of estimating ambient conditions
3. Analysis of long term data from specific sites on the basis of Wind Atlas Poland (analysis includes results of measurements)
4. Wind measurement at specific sites, transport, mounting and demounting measurement masts and appropriate equipment (anemometer with wind direction sensor) and realization measurements. Measurement equipment will be calibrated according to MEASNET
